To use Hela Novels, you must comply with the following eligibility requirements:

• Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, publish stories, comment, or interact on the platform.
• Minors: If you are between 13 and the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• Mature Content: Accessing content designated as "Mature" is restricted to users who have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.

To write chapters, save stories to your personal library, or post comments, you must register for an account using our secure authentication system.

When creating and maintaining your account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and immediately notify us of any unauthorized use.
• Accept full responsibility for all activities and content published under your account.
• Not choose a username that impersonates another person or infringes any third-party rights.

You Retain Ownership: You retain all copyright and intellectual property rights in the original stories, novels, comics, characters, text, and artwork that you create and upload to Hela Novels. We do not claim ownership of your work.

License to Hela Novels: By posting content on Hela Novels, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, format, display, distribute, and promote your content solely for operating and providing the platform.

This license exists only as long as your content remains on the platform. Deleting your story or account terminates this license for future distributions, subject to standard system caching and backups.

All user-published stories, comics, cover graphics, and comments must adhere to our community standards. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Plagiarism: Copying, translating, or reposting someone else's writing or comic artwork without permission.
• Harassment & Hate Speech: Attacking or harassing individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.
• Non-Consensual Content: Content depicting non-consensual sexual acts, sexual violence, or private personal data (doxxing).
• Harmful Activity: Distributing malicious code, automated scraping, or spamming community sections.

Hela Novels allows artistic exploration of mature topics provided they are appropriately labeled:

• Mandatory Rating: Stories containing graphic violence, strong language, or consensual adult themes must be labeled as "Mature" in the story settings.
• Cover Restrictions: Story and chapter covers must remain suitable for general audiences. Explicit nudity or graphic gore on cover art is not permitted.
• Zero Tolerance: Content depicting, promoting, or glorifying child sexual exploitation, self-harm, or suicide will result in immediate termination of the account and referral to relevant authorities.

We respect the intellectual property of others and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").

To file a notice of infringement, please send a written notification to our copyright contact that includes:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorized agent.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
3. Identification of the infringing material on Hela Novels with URL links.
4. Your contact information (name, address, phone number, and email).
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate.

When participating in chapter comments, leaving story ratings, or interacting with authors:

• Keep comments constructive and focused on the work. Personal attacks against writers or readers are not tolerated.
• Do not post major plot spoilers without clear warning tags.
• Authors retain the ability to report or moderate comments on their own chapters.

If virtual items, coins, or paid chapter unlocks are made available on Hela Novels:

• Virtual items and coins have no monetary value outside the platform and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Purchases of virtual currency or unlock tokens are non-refundable, except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to adjust virtual item availability with reasonable advance notice.

By You: You may delete your account and remove your published stories at any time from your Profile Settings.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account and remove content if you violate these Terms, infringe intellectual property rights, or engage in conduct harmful to the community.

Hela Novels is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

We do not endorse or assume liability for the accuracy, completeness, or content of stories, comics, or comments uploaded by users. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hela Novels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
